HOW IT WORKS The Calorex Single Phase Air-to-Water Heat Pump range has been designed for use in the Anglo-Irish climate. Unique in their ability to generate Domestic Hot Water temperatures of up to 65°C, these heat pumps pack the latest in energy efficiency into a compact design that will keep your home warm and comfortable, even if the ambient air (that the heat pump draws from) is as cold as -15°C outside.
Heat Pump Type: Air-to-Water Output: Can generate space heating temperatures of 35°C - 55°C or deliver up to 65°C of Domestic Hot Water. Extreme Temperatures: Equipped with a reverse cycle defrost function that will enable the unit to draw heat from air temperatures as low as -15°C. Active at temperatures below 4°C, the Calorex reverse cycle defrost function is one of the most efficient cycles on the market, requiring less than 4 minutes-per-hour to keep the heat pump fully operational.
HEAT PUMP VOCABULARY Input: The amount of kW electricity that is required by the Heat Pump in order to run your heating system. Output: The amount of heat (measured in kW energy) that is delivered by the Heat Pump to your heating system. COP: Short for Co-efficient of Performance. A mathematical value taking into account a Heat Pump's input and output values - thus showing how energy efficient the heat pump actually is. The higher this value, the more energy efficient the heat pump in question. In order to arrive at this figure, manufacturers divide the heat pump's output by its input.
SINGLE PHASE (Air-Source Series) | Specification | Conditions | Noise | Output | COP | AW4500 | Air 7*C @ Water 35*C | 54 dB | 4.40 kW | 3.70 | AW9000 | Air 7*C @ Water 35*C | 57 dB | 8.96 kW | 3.70 | AW12000 | Air 7*C @ Water 35*C | 59 dB | 12.20 kW | 3.70 |
