SystemLink Ltd. - Dimplex Geothermal Series

Dimplex SI 5 MS

HOW IT WORKS
The Dimplex Geothermal Heat Pump Series utilise a series of underground loops to obtain heat from the very Earth itself. These loops, buried 60 - 80cm underground, contain a refrigerant fluid which absorbs heat and channels that heat back into the household's heating system (underfloor, radiators etc.) at a maximum flow temperature of of 58°C.

FACT SHEET
Heat Pump Type: Geothermal Direct Expansion.
Installation Type: Suited to indoor installations.
Features: Powder coated casing, integrated control panel, noise-reducing casing, integrated soft-starter, dirt filter, fully compliant with standard safety regulations.
Conditions: Can be used in mixed and unmixed heating circuits.

HEAT PUMP VOCABULARY
Input: The amount of kW electricity that is required by the Heat Pump in order to run your heating system.
Output: The amount of heat (measured in kW energy) that is delivered by the Heat Pump to your heating system.
COP: Acronym for Co-efficient of Performance. A mathematical value taking into account a Heat Pump's input and output values - thus showing how energy efficient the heat pump actually is. The higher this value, the more energy efficient the heat pump in question. In order to arrive at this figure, manufacturers divide the heat pump's output by its input.
